Magnolia kobus 'Rogów'
Magnolia kobus ROGOW. Magnolia kobus 'Rogow' was obtained from the seeds of M. stellata received from the Cluj-Napoca Botanical Garden (Romania). The seeds germinated in 1965. It turned out to be M. kobus. This magnolia stands out for it's purple-pink stripe on the outside of petals. The base of the petals is also purple-pink and the stripe narrows towards the tip of the petal. The mother plant is 47 years old and is 8-10 meters high.
