M. brooklynensis 'Woodsman' x M. 'Elizabeth'. August Kehr (R 18-60). 2000. Sister seedling of 'Sun Spire', A. Kehr writes: Some people consider 'Sunsation' to be my best yellow magnolia. This magnolia is similar to 'Sun Spire' but grows faster.
